The Proposed District Plan Decisions Version

The period for making appeals on the Decisions Version of the Proposed District Plan closed on 21 November 2025. There is a 15 working day period within which other parties can join appeal proceedings. This period closes on 15 December 2025. More information is available on the Appeals Page.

What happens next?

If submitters do not agree with the Councils’ decision on the Proposed District Plan and seek a different outcome, they have 30 working days to lodge an appeal to the Environment Court (21 November 2025).


Council will prepare an appeals version of the plan, which will identify which provisions are subject to appeal with indicative timeframes being December 2025 - early 2026.
